“I got to know Maryke as a very involved mom whose preschool son was enrolled with ChumS with SumS at a preschool in Johannesburg.
It was during COVID, but she was one of those moms who didn’t scare easily. She did everything in her power to keep her smart kid stimulated. It was only later that I found out she was also the Grade 6 Math teacher at Laerskool Louwtjies Geldenhuys.
Maryke is one of those people that tackles everything with enthusiasm and zest. I am so happy with the difference she is already making for children in Bloem.
